How to install an Android device on BYOD

BYOD is an acronym for Bring Your Own Device (“bring your own device”). It is an IT infrastructure concept that consists of using employees' own devices to carry out business activities. urmobo supports this type of use, allowing the creation of a work profile on employees' cell phones (as shown in the images below), a profile that is completely controlled through the Android Policies of the management portal.

Installing a device for BYOD use is very simple, and can be done in two ways:

  1. The first way is to download the Android Device Policy app directly from the Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.work.clouddpc) and then read the Google AFW QRCode of the desired entity. After carrying out this procedure, Android will carry out all the necessary configuration for the device to be configured with a work profile in accordance with the specified policies.
  2.  The second way is to send the Play Store URL that can be found in the desired Entity (as can be seen in the image below) to the user (through a messaging application, SMS, email, etc...). The user must then click on this URL on their Android device and the entire setup will be done automatically.
